What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Financial Educator position at BayPort Credit Union Brand?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SUPPORTING DUTIES:
- Creating and executing annual financial education plans tailored to evolving needs.
- Conducting seminars and presentations on topics like money management, credit, and budgeting, collaborating with various departments for successful delivery.
- Facilitates in-school financial education programs, including training, marketing, and resource management.
- Championing financial literacy within the credit union and the community, exploring new educational opportunities, and partnering with organizations.
- Managing and evaluating youth financial education programs and measuring their effectiveness.
- Organizing seminar schedules, resources, and support staff, and representing the credit union at community events and trade shows.
- Enhancing program reach through collaboration with marketing team to develop online resources.
- Promoting BayPort Credit Union services to youth and participating in industry coalitions focused on financial literacy.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of personal finance, credit union products, and industry trends.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.
Required Experience: 3 – 5 years’ practical experience in banking, finance, financial planning, and/or teaching or training, especially with youth or young adults.
Required Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of youth and adult learning methods.
