What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Integration Analyst I position at BayPort Credit Union?

The primary purpose of this position is observing and assisting with the operations of the company’s host system(s) and peripheral equipment for the purpose of uninterrupted data processing, operating runs and batch program jobs. This includes monitoring the scheduling software for error messages; failures and network malfunctions; providing support to end users on a variety of issues; assisting other Information Technology staff in reviewing, analyzing and evaluating core host processing. Identifying and resolving any malfunctions in system or network and other duties as requested.
Responsibilities Include:
- Observes and monitors core processing and scheduling software, database applications, and peripheral equipment for faulty output and errors to ensure overall correct operational procedures.
- Works with the Information Technology Department to schedule system or application outages.
- Responds to console requests, commands, workflow procedures and job runs.
- Analyzes and determines source of system errors, malfunctions, job stoppages, and program information (to ensure compliance with operation standards).
- Identifies and resolves issues in order to maintain services, capabilities and prevent system outages.
- Reports system problems to the appropriate staff and confers with the staff to resolve production issues.
- Operates and maintains peripheral equipment as required.
- Reviews, evaluates, prepares and delivers production printouts, reports, and files to ensure the optimal performance and quality standards.
- Interacts directly with outside vendors to schedule orders, maintenance and support.
- Completes CSR’s and projects as assigned.
- Documents, tracks and evaluates problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Reviews, analyzes and evaluates operational issues.
- Assists with problems through resolution as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree and 0-3 years experience the field or related area.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Highly self motivated and directed.
- Keen attention to detail.
