What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vault Teller position at BayPort Credit Union?
The primary purpose of the Vault Teller position is to provide quality service to members by processing financial transactions, resolving problems, answering questions and suggesting products and services that improve our members' financial well-being. Additionally, Vault Tellers are responsible for performing the essential functions and supporting duties of the Lead Teller in the Lead Teller's absence.
Responsibilities include :

- Processes members' financial transactions, resolves problems, and answers questions regarding all of BayPort Credit Union's products and services.
- Provides a high level of quality service to members in the drive thru and walk-up areas while adhering to all teller and check acceptance policies and procedures.
- Assists with cash received / disbursed from vault and handling of all teller requests. Responsible for all negotiable and non-negotiable instruments.
- Assists in the balancing of the vault, ATM and cash dispensing machines.
- Reviews out of balance conditions at daily closing and reconciles teller cash drawers and vault as required.
- Ensures monthly cash drawer audits are completed and recorded as required.
- Handles complex member complaints, transaction inquiries, and corrections or adjustments.
- Required to perform opening and closing procedures for the branch.
