The Youth Financial Educator Supervisor contributes to achievement of BayPort Credit Union’s strategic goals through effective planning, development, and implementation of youth financial education programs for members, potential members, students, faculty, parents and other groups. Serves as a champion for youth financial literacy. Develops relationships and represents BayPort Credit Union in youth financial literacy efforts in the schools, community, and with other organizations. Leads the efforts in the student-run credit union program.
Essential Functions And Supporting Duties
Required Education: College degree required, with major in education preferred. Sufficient years of experience in classroom teaching and curriculum development to demonstrate skills.
Required Experience: 8- 10 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Preferred Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of youth and adult learning methods. Is knowledgeable about and incorporates effective teaching methods for varied audiences.

Leads the efforts in the student-run credit union program.
Essential Functions And Supporting Duties
- Supervises Youth Financial Educators to implement programs that increase community youth financial literacy and fosters relationships in school districts.
- Oversees the overall operations of the student-run credit union program. Cultivate positive relationships between students, school faculty and parents, credit union employees, and the credit union.
- Lead the development of in-school membership drives and marketing promotions.
- Recruit and train Credit Union personnel who support and operate student-run programs.
- Work with Marketing and Financial Educators to develop and produce marketing materials specific to student-run program, financial education programs and philanthropy initiatives.
- Plans, develops, and manages financial education initiatives to increase personal finance knowledge among members, potential members, students, faculty, parents and other groups in our communities.
- Oversees BayPort Credit Union’s Youth Reward Program.
- Develops and maintains the Youth Financial Education Budget.
- Establish and maintain department records and reports.
- Secure and maintain productive relationships within the community.
- Maintains the Credit Union’s professional reputation, both internally and externally.
- Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality.
- Understands the BayPort brand and the Credit Union’s short and long-range messaging to ensure brand consistency.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Classroom teaching and curriculum development skills.
- Prior relationships with educators in public school systems preferred. Experience presenting to youth and adults with experience teaching personal finance preferred.
- Requires creativity, excellent writing skills, excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional written communication skills; including spelling, and grammar accuracy.
- Action-oriented; team player; ability to set work priorities and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, using personal judgment and problem-solving techniques to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral communication skills: communicate clearly in all situations and conduct business over the telephone.
- A capability of working within a team, with other Credit Union departments, and external service providers.
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of the Credit Union’s changes, processes, and procedures.
