Job Summary:
The Production Manager is a critical leadership role at Bayport Labs, responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations. This individual will ensure efficient and compliant manufacturing processes while meeting production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in the cosmetics manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all production activities, including planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring.
- Develop and implement production plans that align with company objectives and customer demands.
- Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, etc.) and internal quality standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of production personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including R&D, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to improve production performance.
- Manage production budgets and control costs effectively.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in cosmetics manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cosmetics manufacturing, with a focus on color cosmetics, skincare, and haircare products.
- Proven track record of successfully managing production operations and meeting production targets.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and other production management tools.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
