Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety during movement.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical equipment when necessary.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities, tailoring support to their unique needs.
- Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures as required, following proper protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices.
- Experience in dementia care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to perform patient observation effectively, recognizing changes in health status promptly.
- Proficient in CPR techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
