Leasing Consultant (Griffith, IN)

Leasing Consultants have the exciting job of helping people find their perfect apartment home!

Bayshore Properties currently has an opening for a motivated and enthusiastic Leasing Consultant to join the team at Park West Apartments, a 1,337-unit market rate apartment community located in Griffith, Indiana.

This position will oversee the entire leasing and sales process from start to finish, with a strong emphasis on leasing responsibilities. You will create and build relationships with potential residents, conduct property tours, and find new & exciting ways to market your property.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent sales skills in person / over the phone, customer focus and must be available to work Saturday shifts.

Leasing Consultant Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to residents and prospective residents, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Provide a professional and engaging experience for prospects while touring the apartment homes and community.
• Process applications and lease renewals, and complete all related paperwork accurately and correctly.
• Proactively manage sales, outreach, and lead generation, converting leads into sales.
• Work with the maintenance department to ensure apartment turnovers are completed on time.

Leasing Consultant Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required, a college degree is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience, leasing and/or sales experience is preferred; apartment industry or real estate experience, a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Knowledge of property and lead management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Drivers License with valid insurance and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and carry up to 20 pounds;
• Alternate sitting / standing; keyboarding
• Bend/stoop, climb stairs, walking consistently during shift
• Has normal range of vision, hearing and speech

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
• Sales: 2 years (Preferred)
• Property leasing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
