Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling, training and supervising of dietary staff
- Implement menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents, while adhering to dietary restrictions and regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Work with other departments to coordinate special events and accommodate individual dietary needs.
- Assist Dietary Director in planning, organizing, and developing the operations of the food and nutrition services department.
- Dietary Manager or comparable certification a plus
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must be knowledgeable of food and nutrition services practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing food and nutrition services functions in nursing care facilities.
