Role Overview
The Fabrication Shop Helper is a role helps to support our fabrication and warehouse operations. This role involves assisting with material handling, operating fabrication machines, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and making deliveries to job sites. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of lifting and moving materials, comfortable working in varying temperatures, and willing to adapt to changing work schedules based on workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in material handling, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
- Operate fabrication machines and follow production lists to prepare materials for job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop by performing routine maintenance, stocking inventory, and disposing of waste.
- Safely use company vehicles to make deliveries to job sites, which may require early starts or late returns (upwards of 3 hours before or after working hours).
- Follow all safety protocols, attend safety meetings, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Requirements
- Valid driver's license with legal driving eligibility.
- Ability to lift and move materials of varying weights independently or with assistance.
- This job requires spending the majority of the day on your feet and will require long periods of standing.
- Must provide personal transportation to the shop and supply required PPE before the first workday.
- Required PPE – Construction Grade Earplugs, Dust Mask (Covering Mouth/Nose), Safety Goggles, Steel Toe Work Boots, and Work Gloves.
- Temperature-controlled areas are limited (shop is maintained at 55-60°F in winter; storage buildings are not heated or air-conditioned).
- Exposure to loud machinery and dust is expected
