What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Sprinkler System Designer position at Bayside Fire and Security?
Role Overview
As a Fire Sprinkler System Designer, you will be responsible to interpret plans on new buildings and survey existing buildings to design the system to be in accordance with the contract documents and NFPA documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contract documents.
- Survey existing building if necessary.
- Prepare Request for Information.
- Prepare Fire Sprinkler drawings for approval.
- List all material for fabrication and ordering.
- Supervise field crew, including attending on-site or Teams meetings.
- All to be done in accordance with the project schedule.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in Fire Sprinkler System Design.
- Auto-Cad proficiency.
- General understanding of Hydraulics.
- Prior experience designing Fire Pump installation a plus.
- Need to be analytical with good communication and customer service skills.
- NICET Level 2 or ready to sit for Level 2 exam.
Work Requirements
- Will be expected to periodically be on new construction sites with safety protocols.
- Sometimes survey existing buildings on night shift and/or weekends.
