What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internship position at Bayside?
Your role with us will be to serve as an integral component in providing solution based, innovative, and superior service to our constituencies, and to provide leadership, strategic direction and administrative oversight for the Village organization in accordance with the policies established by the Village Board.
Specifically, you will serve to enhance the effectiveness of General Government and Public Works operations, functions and programs through the assignment of special projects.

Research and complete grants, including submission of grant application, complying with Federal and State reporting requirements, and ensuring prompt reimbursement.
Provide customer services including, but not limited to, answering incoming phone calls and providing accurate information to the public.
Assist the Public Works department with various administrative tasks and responsibilities.
Assist with the development and publication of Village communications.
Assist with planning and implementing long term strategic goal values.
Tracks and compiles data for Village Performance Measurement.
Assist with the coordination of community events.
Completes special projects and perform duties as assigned by the Village Manager.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by professional organizations and/or governing agencies.
Skilled in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database and word processing software; completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; understand and follow instructions; process information logically; analyze and solve work related problems; analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
Valid Wisconsin Driver License. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
While working, you will or may encounter the following physical conditions:?
Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time,?occasionally standing and walking.
Work requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Hours of Work:
Standard hours of work are generally worked between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8 am to 12 noon. Friday;16-24 hours per week. ? Hours may fluctuate to complete the essential functions of the position or as workload demands. Attendance at meetings and events outside of normal business hours are possible.
