Key Responsibilities:- Provide accurate, culturally appropriate onsite interpretation between English and your target language.
- Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to established interpretation protocols to ensure accuracy and completeness, avoiding omissions or additions.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and customer service skills while assisting clients in sensitive situations.
- Manage assignments with punctuality, preparedness, and professionalism.
- Maintain an appropriate tone of voice while observing cultural nuances.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must reside in Massachusetts and be willing to travel within a 30-mile radius of your home for assignments.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other language listed below.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain professional in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and reliability to accommodate per diem assignments.
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure interpretation accuracy.
- Understanding of HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations.
- Completion of a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course from a reputable institution is preferred but not required.
