Position Overview
Seeking a positive, organized, and dynamic individual to serve as the Guest Services Manager. This role involves overseeing guest service operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. The Guest Services Manager will also play a key role in staff recruitment, training, and development to uphold the park’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Services Operations: Oversee guest service operations, including ticket sales, retail sales, guest concerns, and point-of-sale management. Handle business operations such as cash control, bank deposits, and inventory management.
- Staff Leadership & Development: Lead the hiring, training, and management of guest service employees across admissions, retail, gate scanning, and other guest-facing departments. Develop training schedules for team leaders to promote continued staff development and operational excellence.
- Guest Experience: Collaborate with staff to enhance the guest experience by organizing interactive and family-friendly activities. Establish a positive work environment that encourages staff to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Administrative Support: Facilitate administrative tasks, including staff onboarding, managing receipts and paperwork, and fielding guest inquiries. Implement an incentive program to recognize and reward outstanding staff performance.
- Off-Season Duties: Manage the inventory of staff equipment, uniforms, and retail items to prepare for the next season. Assist in hiring and training staff in preparation for the upcoming season.
Qualifications
- Experience in guest services, retail management, or a combination of related fields.
- Event planning and content creation experience is desirable.
- Willingness to work long hours, including holidays and weekends during the summer.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in outdoor environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (or similar software).
