Maintenance Manager
Position Overview
Seeking a hardworking, organized, positive, and experienced individual to fill the role of Maintenance Manager. This full-time position involves managing all aspects of park maintenance, including aquatic systems, facility maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in various maintenance areas, including pool chemistry, pump and filter systems, and general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Aquatic Systems Maintenance: Oversee water quality for all pools, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards. Perform regular maintenance on pools, including chemical balancing, pump and filter upkeep, and troubleshooting system issues.
- Facility Maintenance: Manage building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all park facilities to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Problem-Solving & Repairs: Diagnose and prioritize repairs based on safety, urgency, and budgetary constraints. Maintain a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they impact park operations.
- Staff & Public Interaction: Maintain a positive demeanor when interacting with staff and guests. Foster a positive work environment where staff can excel in their roles.
- Business Operations: Make informed decisions regarding maintenance and repairs, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
- Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as assigned with a flexible and proactive attitude.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience in aquatic and general facility maintenance
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (or similar)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) certification (or ability to obtain certification after hiring)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to work long hours during the waterpark season, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in waterpark or theme park maintenance
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
