Position Summary
The Analyst position will work as an integral member of the BAM team in NY, supporting various mortgage related analytics and collateral management, data logic and integrity review, daily origination loan locks, loan sales and securitization preparation, and ad-hoc inquiries. This analyst will be part of the supporting staff to the Front Desk and may also act as a liaison between internal departments and the front trading group.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze loan tape information for input into Bayview’s various models, rating agencies, and deal-related institutional investors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in data analysis
- Manage requests for intraday and prioritize ad-hoc inquiries.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Prepare daily rate-lock update data extraction and weekly position reports.
- Conduct month-end position review and loan collateral aggregation checks.
- Lead initiatives to resolve, improve, and enhance current processes for increased efficiency.
- Perform other duties as needed or required.
- The Candidate must be highly analytical with exceptional math skills.
- The ability to meet deadlines, self-starter, multi-task, and ability to prioritize the tasks given.
- Highly articulate and organized with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills will be required - both verbal and written.
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python languages are required.
- Quick learner that can acclimate themselves to our proprietary systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with CAS is a plus but not required.
- Basic working knowledge of mortgages, credit, and cash flow modeling would be helpful but is not required.
- BA/BS or higher degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, Economics, or other related field required.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in financial institutions, or rating agencies.
- Prior internship or work experience in a related field is a plus.
- Hours will be determined by workload, with frequent late nights and occasional weekend work required.
- Remote work will not be considered.
- This is an onsite position based in Bayview's New York, NY office with occasional travel to Bayview's Denver, CO office.
- Base compensation is expected to be $75,000-85,000, with opportunity for incentive compensation including a performance-based bonus.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
