Overview

OVERVIEW Bayview Asset Management is seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional to join its Deal Operations team as an Assistant Vice President (AVP). The AVP – Deal Ops will play a key leadership role in overseeing deal onboarding and deal setup, ensuring that all operational systems remain in sync across platforms. This role focuses on enhancing and streamlining operational processes to improve efficiency and accuracy while maintaining synchronization across reporting, reconciliation, and system updates. The individual will collaborate closely with investment managers, transaction managers, servicers, and trustees, while managing the relationship and performance of third-party service providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for building new workflows, optimizing existing processes, and leading a team to support evolving business needs. • Coordinate with business leaders and transaction managers, to support deal closings and manage the deal onboarding process
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investment teams, transaction managers, servicers, and trustees, ensuring seamless operational workflows during onboarding and deal setup processes
• Oversee and coordinate deal onboarding functions with third-party service providers. This includes ensuring service level agreements are met and addressing any operational issues that arise, particularly around setup and data consistency.
• Lead initiatives to enhance and automate deal operations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx to improve process efficiency and support scalability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on all deal mechanics, providing guidance and expertise to internal teams.
• Perform data quality checks across systems to ensure accuracy and synchronization of key data points throughout all processes.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to streamline workflows, mitigate risk, and ensure that all systems remain in sync during the deal setup and onboarding process.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests across departments to meet organizational goals, with a focus on maintaining system-wide consistency.
• Develop and build a comprehensive knowledge of the broader Bayview teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactively drive process improvements and creatively seek ways to uncover additional efficiencies. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
• Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills, taking ownership for outcomes and delivering strong results.
• Strong tech forward mind-set, proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python or other management reporting tools is a strong plus.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of closing documents, correspondence, and final datasets.
• Strong conceptual understanding of financial products and investment vehicles as it relates to complex deal workflows.
• Comfortable working with large data sets; experience analyzing and reconciling deal level data.
• Ability to interpret and apply analysis to complex documents and transactions.
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to interact effectively with fund managers, administrators, trustees, and senior management.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and oversee recurring processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments, and effectively present to senior management.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively drive process improvements and creatively seek ways to uncover additional efficiencies. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required; an advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in operations, fund accounting, or finance, preferably within the mortgage or asset management industries.
• Experience with GAAP / Statutory Reporting for insurance companies is a plus. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND / OR REGISTRATION

• This is a hybrid position that can be based out of our New York, NY office or Coral Gables, FL offices.
• Base compensation is expected to be $130,000-150,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation. Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
