POSITION SUMMARY
Bayview Asset Management is looking for a motivated and forward-thinking professional to join our Residential Trading and Insurance Finance team. This individual will play a key role within our finance organization, overseeing the finance and accounting operations of a rapidly growing platform including residential whole loans, consumer lending, asset based financing, and other structured products. In this high-impact role, you will focus on driving efficiencies in reporting while ensuring accuracy and high data quality. You’ll manage external service providers and collaborate with Asset Servicing, Deal Operations, Middle Office, and Performance Reporting & Analytics teams to optimize accounting and reporting processes. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work directly with senior leadership and Investment teams, providing enhanced reporting and attribution analysis to support key decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving, experience in asset management finance & accounting, ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels, and a drive to improve processes, enhance reporting, and deliver high-quality insights. - Oversee monthly accounting close process with third-party service providers, ensuring accurate accounting for mortgage loans, derivatives and other structured products in accordance with US GAAP and Investment Company Guidelines.
- Review NAV calculations, investor allocations, and capital account reporting for funds and separately managed accounts (SMAs) in accordance with governing documents.
- Identify and implement process automation and efficiencies to streamline accounting workflows.
- Monitor and evaluate third-party service provider performance by tracking KPIs, communicating results, and implementing action plans for improvement.
- Monitor fund / SMA liquidity and cash balances to ensure smooth operations, working with senior management and portfolio management teams to determine capital calls and timing.
- Oversee the settlement of trades, loan purchases and use of financing in coordination with the Middle Office and Deal Operations team.
- Prepare attribution reporting and performance metrics, working with the Residential Whole Loan and Insurance Portfolio Management teams to understand key drivers.
- Review and approve management fee and incentive fees for funds and separately managed accounts.
- Supervise the daily / monthly delivery of trade files, loan tapes, and other key data to SMA clients while driving automation and quality control improvements.
- Work with Insurance business development / client service leaders to produce and deliver investment reporting for clients.
- Assist with client financial regulatory reporting requirements, including but not limited to providing support for financing disclosures and reviewing NAIC filings as it relates to Mortgage Loans managed by Bayview.
- Support new fund launches, investor onboarding, and structuring decisions.
- Partner with Technology and Operations teams to enhance reporting capabilities and optimize data management.

Salary : $160,000 - $185,000
