Overview
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Portfolio Company Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and managing the accounting activities and financial operations of five (5) portfolio companies within Bayview Asset Management’s MSR fund. The portfolio companies are : house flipping, general contracting, home improvement lending, fintech, and real estate brokerage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, expense reporting, forecasts, and ad hoc projects as needed.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain books and records for the portfolio companies as well as manage fund expenses and allocations.
- Create / update policies on items such as prepaids, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee monthly processes such as expense accruals
- Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Coordinate and lead audit activities, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Address any audit findings promptly.
- Work effectively with other parts of the Finance department such as Treasury Operations, Fund Accounting, and Accounts Payable.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting and finance processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the department.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and initiatives as directed by the VP, Fund Control.

Salary : $145,000 - $175,000
