Overview : POSITION SUMMARY :
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Technology Recovery Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing the enterprise Disaster Recovery / Technology Recovery program. The suitable candidate would liaise with various stakeholders to ensure the program is kept up to date and satisfies internal and external stakeholder expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide ongoing feedback for risk management, mitigation, and prevention
- Conduct audits, assess back-ups, GAP analysis, perform tests to make sure data can be retrieved
- Establish and maintain detailed DR communications and command and control plans through a change management process
- Assessing, developing, implementing and sustaining Disaster Recovery and BIA plans and procedures
- Develop and understand all testing necessary for a successful DR execution
- Provides instructional and informational materials on how staff business / IT associates are expected to respond during an emergency event.
- Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management
- Develop best practices and tools for DR test, management and execution
- Work to ensure compliance with internal policies and standards
- Demonstrated ability to plan and complete work within tight time limitations
- Ability to understand and apply learned concepts
- Ability to clearly communicate complex disaster recovery concepts
- Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning and validation methodologies
- Should have Hands-on experience in DR orchestration recover tool.
- Should have knowledge of data replication & data sync between different DCs & DR sites both on-prem and Azure and AWS regions.
- Strong understanding of Network connectivity concepts including TCP / IP TCP Ports, VLANS, IP addressing, firewalls concepts.
- Strong experience with Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity including processes and understanding of sequenced recovery of Information Technology systems both on-premises and Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of IT infrastructure predominantly on virtual and physical Servers & storage either block, hyperconverged Infrastructure.
- Preferable Hands -on in VMware, block Storage (Nutanix, Dell EMC, NetApp) configurations Able to identify the requirement from the Storage & data replication perspective
- Able to work on Virtual machines on environments like VMware / Red Hat or Windows specific virtual environment
