What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Part Time - 1099 position at BAYVIEW CONSULTING?
Position Overview:
We are seeking Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs), Adult Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNPs), as well as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP), to join the statewide NYIA Independent Practitioner Panel. This panel issues physician orders for individuals who have completed a Community Health Assessment and are eligible for community-based long-term care services and supports. Practitioners will conduct follow-up in-home clinical visits for individuals who have received assessments. Training will be provided virtually and is compensated.

Compensation:
- Rate: $115.00 per hour
- Visit Structure:
- 90 minutes per case, divided as follows:
- 30 minutes for reviewing RN documentation
- 30 minutes for the clinical visit
- 30 minutes for charting
Requirements:
- Must be board certified and possess personal medical malpractice insurance.
- Active NYS Medicaid ID number required.
- Ability to conduct in-person visits in the community.
- Must be conflict-free—no conflicts of interest (COI) including affiliations with Managed Long Term Care (MLTC), Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA), Certified Home Health Agency, Insurance, or ISNP.
- A minimum of 2 years (3600 hours) of relevant experience is required.
- Available schedules:
- Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 7 PM
- Saturdays and Sundays, 10 AM – 6 PM (must be with NYIA-IPP for 90 days to work weekends).
- Part-time schedules are available.
- Laptops will be provided by the client.
- Virtual classroom instructor-led training (15 hours, paid).
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and make recommendations on consumer assessments for long-term care services and supports.
- Assess completed Community Health Assessment tools in the NYS Uniform Assessment to assist physicians in completing orders.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes related to assessment quality and validity.
- Utilize clinical competencies to review and validate assessment outcomes.
- Collaborate to monitor and address clinical quality and care gaps.
