Schedule: Part-Time; 0.6 FTE

Job Summary:
Under the direct medical supervision of the Medical Director of Integrated Behavioral Health, the Clinic Supervisor is responsible for the dispensing of Methadone and other related functions to the dispensing of Methadone to persons addicted to opiates. The Clinic Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Methadone Maintenace clinic and team.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for hiring, scheduling, disciplining and training clinic staff.

Measures, dispenses, and observes client’s ingestion of daily dosage of methadone.

Verifies patient identification to ensure that correct dosages are administered.

Assesses, documents and reports participant’s condition, reaction to medication, treatment, and significant medical condition changes or significant incidents.

Assures that dispensing staff reports special incidents following the Council’s special incident reporting procedures.

Maintains records of all medication dispensed in accordance with federal and other monitoring agency regulations.

Documents in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure payment for services rendered and to meet contractual and legal requirements.

Provides training, orientation, and supervision of dispensing nurses.

Supervision for nursing activities and schedules for regular and emergency service.

Assists in intake screening of patients.

Establishes and maintains medical supply inventories and maintains medical equipment in good operating conditions.

Assists in program quality assurance.

Maintains schedule for random urinalysis testing.

Collects and prepares urine specimens for toxicology testing.
-
May assist in facilitation of out-of-area courtesy dosing.

Will be required to carry an after-hours cellular phone and be part of a team required to provide the after-hours phone coverage rotation.

Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Participates in staff meetings, staff training and maintains licensure in accordance with state regulations.

Will participate in audit activities.

Will participate in CQI (Continuous Quality Assurance) activities.
-
May refer patients for ancillary medical services.

Maintains a working knowledge of Title 9; Title 22 and other State and County guidelines required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

May be assigned cross departmental responsibilities.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Must possess basic computer skills including but not limited to the ability to learn the Addiction Management System (AMS).

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience:

Possession of an R.N. License, CPR certification, and one (1) year experience working with patients with substance abuse problems, preferably in a Medication Assisted Treatment Program or possession of a Psych technician or an L.V.N. license, CPR Certification, and two (2) years' experience working with patients with substance abuse problems, preferably in a Methadone Maintenance Program.
