Reports to: Assistant Director of Behavioral Health
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/annually
Schedule: Part-Time; 0.6 FTE

Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Integrative Behavioral Health Therapist provides therapy services in our Integrative Behavioral Health Program to Baywell Health patients.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Comply with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement project guidelines.

Comply with all state and federal laws, and the professional code of ethics pertaining to the practice of psychology.

Conduct brief, non-stigmatizing screenings to evaluate the needs of adults and older adults for mental health and support services.

Perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment for mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, intimate partner, and family violence. Conduct follow-up as appropriate based on results of evaluation.

Provide behavioral health services utilizing brief treatment, problem-solving therapy, behavioral activation, and other Evidenced-Based Treatments, in a culturally, linguistically, and age-appropriate manner.

Provide ongoing consultation for primary care staff in appropriate mental health techniques for adults.

Provide linkage and referrals to community services as needed and work from interdisciplinary approach and in collaboration with the PCP (Primary Care Provider), Consulting Psychiatrist, and Care Coordinator.

Participate in integrated and/or therapeutic support groups to address behavioral health and chronic health conditions such as diabetes and depression.

Participate with other staff in multidisciplinary staff meetings and other staff processes to achieve program development, staff development, program evaluation, program operations review, and other activities needed to maintain quality of early intervention services.

Maintain confidentiality regarding privileged administrative and patient information and complete required documentation in a timely manner.

Participate in new program development and implementation.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

May be assigned cross departmental responsibilities.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of principles and practices of modern psychiatric case work, psychological assessment, personality theory, DSM-5, psychotherapy, and case work.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience:
-
Master’s Degree in social work from an accredited program.
-
Valid license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Schedule/California Board of Psychology as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Psychologist.

At least two (2) years of paid administrative and clinical experience within the last eight (8) years in a behavioral health setting as a licensed clinician.

Familiarity with Medi-Cal documentation standards.
-
Experience with harm reduction, motivational interviewing, solution-focused theory, CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based practice.

Experience assessing and treating co-occurring behavioral health disorders.
-
Bilingual in English and Spanish desired.
-
Familiarity using electronic health records preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

May be required to work in an environment with high noise levels and unpredictable temperature and ventilation.
