We are a very active modern and not for profit senior living community conveniently located in Castro Valley. We are in search of service minded individuals with the desire to make a positive impact on the residents that live within our community.
Position available for Full-time Waitstaff. Must be available to work weekends and holidays - Overtime when available.

Pay scale for FULL-TIME staff: $18.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour
For PART-TIME staff: $16.00 per hour
We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. The background search includes minor misdemeanors and DUIs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in all functions of serving including but not limited to order taking, basic food prep, furniture set up, table setting, buffet setting, serving, bussing, clean-up of food items, re-setting, room maintenance, and other serving-related procedures.
Enter order information into POS computer program for tracking of resident meals.
Clean up preparation area, serving area, tables, place settings etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
No experience required; will train!
Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow instructions in English in order to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand/walk up to 100% of the work day
Must be able to lift and carry, push and pull bus carts independently
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the work day
