Requirements:
- Hotel Experience/Knowledge

Summary
Positively supports the sales efforts of the hotel, including responding to client needs, group and meeting inquiries. Other responsibilities to include site tours, preparing contracts, ensuring administrative tasks are correct and complete. Assists in coordinating with other departments the service activities related to the sales function to maximize customer satisfaction and overall profitability.
Job Duties
- Works directly with the Sales Department by assisting with day to day administrative duties.
- Communicates effectively with all potential clients and departments. This includes taking new inquiries with as much detail to ensure the hotel can respond in a timely manner.
- Creating group contracts, entering group/meeting information in the Sales Systems, as well as creating group resumes.
- Enters group pick up totals into the Sales Systems after check out.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
- Collecting all necessary details for each group/meeting booking. These details include deposit, rooming list, itinerary, baggage handling, etc. These details are to be collected within the appropriate amount of time, as stated in the group contract, and passed on to the appropriate department.
- Assists in developing and executes projects for assigned market areas as stated in the hotel Marketing Plan to increase sales volume and profitability
- Works with other departments within the hotel to bring additional help and support when needed.
- Participates in BEAR and other Baywood sponsored community service events.
- Additional duties may be added at any time at the discretion of management
- Consistently models the behavior of a Baywood Ambassador
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous Hotel Sales experience preferred
- Knowledge in hotel brand PM System and Sales Systems preferred

- Ability to communicate effectively in written form and verbally both over the phone and in person
