Position Overview
The Quality Engineer oversees the manufacturing process to ensure that all products meet quality standards. This may include designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Duties may include researching techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning to optimize production.
Essential Job Functions- Ensure that all the quality procedures put in place by the company are followed.
- Identify ways to manufacture parts or products with maximum efficiency.
- Enact quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize cost.
- Design control systems to ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Assist in Continuous Improvement projects such as developing, assembling or modifying existing and new tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient production methods.
- Generate cost analysis and metrics calculations.
- Perform internal audits and quality checks as directed.
- Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken.
- Create process checks - coordinate inspections with Production Supervisors.
- Align to company mission, values, and goals.
- Comply with company safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- Ability to read prints.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
- Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
