Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, committed to high standards of cleanliness, and is able to work independently.
Duties
- Clean retail store floors 6 days a week by first dry mopping and then washing with a ride-on floor scrubber.
- Sweep and mop smaller areas such as restrooms by hand.
- Buff floors twice a week with a walk-behind buffer.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the store by properly disposing of waste, addressing spills, etc.
- Assist in special floor maintenance and cleaning projects as needed.
- Duties must be performed while store is closed (between 8:30 pm and 6:30 am). The ideal work shift is approximately 3:30 am-6:30 am (2-3 hours per day); however, there may be flexibility to fulfill duties during other overnight hours.
- There are opportunities for additional hours and cleaning responsibilities such and cleaning warehouse floors, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming rugs, etc. Inquire during application and interview process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care practices including using a floor scrubber and buffer is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina. Ability to walk for extended periods, occasionally bend and crouch, moderate lifting.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude towards work.
