Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction accounting, with proficiency in Sage 100.
This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of our company.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all accounting functions within the company, and company’s adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsible for company’s adherence to all city, state and federal regulatory requirements, as they relate to accounting functions, within stated time frames as dictated by these various agencies.
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and reconciling accounts (AP, AR, GL, credit cards, etc).
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and bi-weekly payroll.
- Generate financial and job costing reports to help with job budgets and cost tracking
- Collaborate with external auditors during workers' compensation and insurance audits, providing the necessary documentation.
- Responsible for keeping business licenses current
- Manage accounting email and relationships with subcontractors and trades
- HR Management – ensures all required paper work is obtained on employees for PR processing, as well as tracking all PTO, certifications and training, health benefits, documentation of discipline, and review dates.
- Database management / management reporting – ensures that Sage 100 is kept up to date with any additions and changes, and reports are completed promptly.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years office management / account experience
- Proficient in Sage 100 software and Microsoft Outlook
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with automated accounting and spreadsheets
- Experience in managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and all matters relating to same including payroll tax payments and quarterly reports
- Must have very good verbal and written communications skills
- Is detail and results oriented and works well under tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to take coaching and feedback constructively
Job Types: Part-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $34.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
