The Associate Account Executive will play a key role in supporting BBC Advertising’s West Coast sales efforts, assisting in new business development, client relationships, and campaign execution. This role will be a crucial part of the BBC Ad Sales team, helping to drive revenue across multiple verticals clients while providing strategic support to senior sellers.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. This range does not include bonus compensation or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Support Direct Sellers in managing and growing revenue from key West Coast accounts.
- Assist in the execution of the BBC Advertising West Coast sales strategy by identifying opportunities and supporting key client initiatives.
- Maintain West Coast priority account mapping, tracking activity across programmatic, digital direct, linear, audio, and social.
- Collaborate with BBC’s Client Success & StoryWorks teams to help craft compelling advertising solutions for clients and agencies.
- Support the RFP process, assisting with proposal development, internal coordination, and final deliverables.
- Help oversee programmatic business maintenance, ensuring smooth execution and upsell opportunities in collaboration with the programmatic team.
- Provide quarterly reporting on programmatic performance and drive efforts to increase YoY revenue growth.
- Act as a liaison between Sales and internal teams, assisting with client-related inquiries on billing, data customization, product, and ad operations.
- Attend client meetings and industry events to strengthen relationships and grow brand presence in the Los Angeles market.
- Support the sales team with data and research requests for proactive pitches and existing clients needs.
- Deliver exceptional client service and communication, assisting in pitch development, audience storytelling, and client presentations.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ability to build trusted working relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and sell ideas clearly.
- Strong interest in media sales, advertising, and revenue growth.
- General understanding of:
- Digital media landscape (including social, programmatic, and premium publishing)
- Campaign performance KPIs and reporting
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 2-4 years of experience in a sales support, media planning, or account management role, ideally within digital media, advertising, or entertainment.
- At least 1 year of experience in a direct media sales capacity.
- Prior experience working with Auto, Entertainment, Travel, or Consumer Electronics brands is a plus.
- Highly collaborative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker with an agile mindset, open to continuous learning and development.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Great sense of humor and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
