Job Purpose
The Scheduling Coordinator / Associate Producer will support the rollout and curation of long-form content as well as the production of short-form promotional clips for BBC Select, a documentary-driven SVOD streaming service featuring a wide-range of factual programming from the BBC and beyond.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position. This range is not inclusive of a competitive bonus, flexible, hybrid working schedule & benefits including but not limited to: 100% BBCS covered medical & dental insurance, vision, & 401k match.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Scheduling & Metadata
- Input program information and rollout details into systems and documents
- Help maintain a framework of genre groupings and tags to aid with content discoverability and algorithmic-driven program placement
- Execute day-to-day content curation across third-party platforms
- Work alongside management to analyze performance metrics, discerning patterns that can help inform data-driven strategies and decision making
- Assist in additional planning and promotion to drive consumer engagement
- Screen documentaries to identify clippable moments that align with a North-American focused editorial strategy
- Produce/edit clips, along with corresponding metadata and loglines, that adhere to the BBC style guide and tone
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met with regards to promotional rights, and track publishing across platforms as well as takedown dates
- Opportunity to contribute to BBC.com/App video features production
- Ensure all content is released as scheduled and liaise with platform representatives to troubleshoot problems
- Maintain accurate records of on-platform program placement to aid in content evaluation and research
- Identify key competitive media events, holidays, cultural moments and anniversaries, and highlight topically relevant content from our library
- Contribute to miscellaneous presentations, projects, and tasks to support the collaborative efforts of BBC Select, BritBox, BBC.com/App and the BBC Global Media & Streaming group at large
Knowledge & Skills:
- Acute attention to detail and quick problem-solving abilities
- Strong editorial sensibilities for identifying compelling and clippable content
- Familiarity with digital video editing in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Interest-in and knowledge of current affairs, pop-culture, and history
- Awareness of British content and culture is a plus
- Up-to-date with the changing business and creative trends in media
- Internship or relevant experience within the industry is ideal
- Editing samples (unpublished is ok) not required, but preferred
- Self-starting, motivated and pro-active
- Organized and meticulously detail-oriented
- Collaborative and able to take direction
