Grant Writer Coordinator - - Job Description
The Grant writer coordinator is responsible to research, draft, write, and submit grant proposals to governments, private companies, foundations, and trusts to help raise grant funds for the organization to support the CORE services of loans and financial technical assistance to our target market clients and underserved businesses. The Grant Writer is responsible for actively supporting the fund’s development and cultivation activities. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· To craft funding proposals and reports in a clear and compelling manner
· Research grant opportunities with foundations, government, philanthropic, and private organizations
· Solicits and writes proposals and reports for federal, state, city government RFP’s as well as private foundation and corporation RFPs
· Persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs to potential funders
· Conducting prospective research
· Assembling and submitting grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations
· Manges and maintains the FLUX Database and Records Management
· Maintain security and quality controls of documents
· Generate queries, develop reports, exports, and any other collection data as needed
· Maintaining calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports
· Implement Planned Giving Program

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in creative writing or related field.
- 2 years of grant writing experience preferred.
- Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals.
- Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
- Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong people skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
