A Pipe Layer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipelines used for transporting water, sewage, gas, and other utilities. The position involves working in outdoor environments, often on construction sites, ensuring that pipes are properly laid and secured according to engineering specifications.

- Lay and install pipes for water, sewer, gas, and other utilities in trenches.
- Ensure proper alignment, slope, and depth of pipes to meet regulatory standards.
- Connect and seal pipes and fittings using various techniques, including welding, threading, and soldering.
- Operate heavy equipment like trenchers, backhoes, and excavators to dig trenches and move materials.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on pipes to ensure they are properly functioning.
- Work with other construction workers, such as engineers, laborers, and surveyors, to ensure safe and efficient pipe installation.
- Follow safety guidelines and standards to avoid hazards associated with pipe laying, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Assist in preparing the construction site by removing debris and clearing pathways for proper pipe installation.
- Maintain accurate records of the work completed and report to supervisors on the status of the project.

- Previous experience in pipe laying.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
