BBG Construction Law is a Denver-based, boutique construction law firm founded on construction law expertise and industry experience. Our clients include leaders in the construction industry and rely on us to litigate, arbitrate, or otherwise resolve complex disputes related to construction projects, draft and negotiate high-stakes high-dollar construction agreements, and advise project teams on high profile construction projects. BBG has an immediate opening for a Transactional Attorney specializing in the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts. This position will focus on working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment assisting industry leading clients. Successful candidates should have a passion for the construction industry. Relevant work experience, excellent academic credentials, and strong interpersonal skills are required.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO:
- Review, draft and negotiate a variety of industry specific contracts on behalf of our clients.
- Develop strategies for achieving client goals on construction projects.
- Support project teams and help resolve project issues during preconstruction and construction phases of projects.
- Provide day-to-day advice to and communicate regularly with clients regarding project matters.
- Perform legal research and draft client guidance regarding a variety of construction law topics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-7 years of experience as an associate attorney. Preference for experience focused on construction law and/or for candidates with non-legal construction industry experience.
- Must be admitted to practice law in Colorado, California, Arizona, or Oregon.
- Knowledge of various project delivery methods and construction contracts, including industry standard forms (such as AIA, DBIA, and ConsensusDocs) for traditional design-bid-build, CM agent, CMAR, design-build, EPC, integrated project delivery, and PPP.
- Working knowledge of, and interest in, the construction industry and relevant legal topics.
- Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials are required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Base salary of $190k - $230k, based on experience
