Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) as part of the medical team in the primary care environment
- Provide routine consultations with providers and brief 15–30-minute assessments and interventions with patients referred from PCPs for same-day warm hand-offs and follow-up care
- Administer evidence-based interventions to promote positive health behaviors for overall health and address immediate needs related to psychological health
- Assess patient safety and screen for behavioral health disorders
- Provide clear and concise feedback to providers, describing action plans and establishing plans for follow-up
- Facilitate integrated patient care by working collaboratively with medical teams
- Educate medical teams on identification and treatment of behavioral health concerns
- Support referrals to specialty mental health services as needed
- Promote positive working relationships between medical partners and Burrell Behavioral Health
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
- Must possess at least a Master’s degree in a Human Services field.
- Must be licensed in Missouri as a Professional Counselor (LPC), a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PhD/PsyD/LP).
- Provisional licensure (PLPC, LMSW, or PLP) may be considered.
- Applicants should have an interest in and/or experience with brief interventions, team-based care, a wide variety of psychiatric, substance abuse and behavioral medicine problems, and diverse populations.
