Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking an Enterprise DevOps Strategy Lead & Solution Architect to join its IT Shared Services division. S/he will work as part of a dynamic Center of Excellence & Enterprise Architecture Team which supports the enterprise.
As a Solution Architect the candidate will be focused on AI and non-AI driven solutions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role to oversee the enterprise architecture for both AI Platform and Reconciliation Platform, ensuring scalability efficiency and security.
As a DevOps Strategy Lead, the candidate will enable cross-functional teams to drive programs and develop high quality software. The candidate will partner with engineering managers and cross-functional leadership to plan and create roadmaps for DevOps maturity throughout the firm. You will be expected to design, pilot, and roll out new processes, best practices, standards, & KPIs as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our development teams. Creation of KPIs to monitor progress of this enterprise initiative and presenting tangible benefits to developer efficacy will be central to the role.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
Desired Qualifications:
At least 7 years of hands-on Java development experience
Experience with Messaging Queues
Strong Experience with SQL/NoSQL with understanding of database design and optimization methodologies
Good knowledge of design patterns and scalable architecture principles
Experience with Spring (MVC, Data, Security) & strong Web development skills (HTML, CSS, & JavaScript) & JavaScript frameworks (TypeScript, Angular, RxJS, CSS, SAAS)
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud
Experience with Unix platforms
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Problem solving skills, able to determine upcoming risks & issues & address them.
Attention to detail – Evidence of ensuring code quality & accuracy.
Experience in program management of strategic initiatives related to CI/CD, DevOps, or Cloud deployment.
Ability to understand technology, and able to participate in technical conversations.
Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD pipeline architecture and processes in addition to automation tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab etc.)
Strong experience with modern application development workflows and version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
Architectural Design: Develop and oversee the architecture for developed in house solution.
Technology Integration: Lead the integration across multiple systems.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-based solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product owners to define technical requirements and architecture.
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from conception and research to deployment and scaling in production environments.
Drive innovation by staying up to date with the latest achievements in AI, ML and data science technologies.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business value.
Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and AI regulations.
Participate in requirements analysis.
Work with deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
Debugging and problem solving on existing applications
Working in distributed teams with Agile Frameworks
Feature development, code reviews, guide our developers for best development practices.
Partner with engineering managers and cross-functional leadership to plan and create roadmaps for DevOps maturity throughout the firm.
Embrace DevOps mentality and leverage best practices to ensure DevOps and Shift-Left mentality.
Drive adoption of industry-standard methodologies and best practices for infrastructure as code, deployment, observability, load, and resiliency testing & reliability.
Lead implementation of automation tools to streamline the deployment pipeline while promoting collaboration and developer process improvement that results in increased developer efficacy.
Track and monitor progress of all teams and create presentations for senior management outlining progress against goals.
