Position Purpose
BBN Hospitality (The Brass Pearl, Stock and Barrel, Chivo Taqueria and The Black Dog) is excited to offer a server position in downtown Knoxville. We are seeking a highly energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver exceptional hospitality to our guests.
Servers are responsible for creating a memorable guest experience by providing top-notch hospitality. As a key member of our team, server sets the tone of the guest experience through friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service. This position contributes to the success of the restaurant not only by providing an exceptional experience for the guests, but collaborating closely with the bar and expo teams, and maintaining the service area to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.

Position Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly, accurately take orders, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, restocking glasses, utensils, and other supplies as needed.
- Process payments efficiently, including cash, credit cards, and gift cards, while maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
- Observe guest behavior, address any concerns appropriately, and enforce responsible alcohol service, including stopping service when necessary and notifying management of any issues.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the proper handling of food and equipment to maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the management team to support the overall operation of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a server with a minimum of two years serving in a full service restaurant.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid state-issued ABC license.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively.
- High-level organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail to ensure smooth operations.
Schedule
- Schedule is established by the needs of the restaurant and is subject to change with or without notice
- Nights and weekends are required by the needs of the restaurant
- Minimum of 25 hours per week part-time or 35 hours per week full-time
- Must have relatively open availability.
Physical Requirements
- The employee will be on their feet for prolonged periods of time and move throughout the restaurant frequently, especially during peak revenue periods.
- The employee must have the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
