Bristol Bay Alaska Tourism, LLC, dba Bristol Adventures, is looking for a Cook/Morning Baker. This position is for our Brooks Lodge in Katmai National Park. The lodge, under a Concessions Contract with the National Park Service, is the busiest of our three locations. We provide our guests with extraordinary experiences in a stunning Alaskan setting, surrounded by bears, eagles, and fish. You will be one of 26 staff members supporting the lodge, which has a capacity for accommodating up to 64 guests. In addition, there is a campground for 60 people nearby, and Brooks is also a popular fly-in destination for day trips that include fishing and bear viewing.
This is a temporary seasonal position. Food and housing will be provided at no cost. The standard workweek is six days, with approximately 10-12 hours per day. Pay varies depending on experience $14.00 - $16.00 per hour. Pay is issued every two weeks, standard overtime applies, and tips are pooled among staff.
Responsibilities:
As a Cook, you shall be responsible for the execution of the menu in a timely and efficient manner based on daily guest numbers and needs. Along with being the primary cook for meal services the first half of the day, you shall also be prepared to assist in other areas of food preparation for the lodge, stocking, cleaning, and other tasks as assigned by our head chef.
Essential Skills:
Prior cooking experience and knowledge of a wide array of kitchen equipment and tools are expected.
