PPS is seeking a Materials Expediter to ensure materials and supplies move smoothly through the organization to support production schedules and delivery dates. Responsibilities:• Manage the flow of materials through the organization, from procurement to delivery.• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure that materials are available on job sites when needed.• Procure and route materials into and out of facilities.• Keep supervisors informed of material status.• Examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.• Drive company truck to outlying work areas to check the status of orders or to deliver materials.• Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition, and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays.• Resolve documentation, quality, or delivery issues with suppliers. Must Have Requirements:• Ability to obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) access to a military installation• Valid Driver's License Skills & Qualifications:• Ability to identify parts and materials or discover acceptable substitutes• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload• Strong communication and organizational skills Desired Skills:• Production Planning & Control (PP&C)• Experience supporting production through warehousing, transportation, or related functions• Knowledge of and experience with inventory control principles and practices• Certified Forklift Operator• OSHA 10 Certification• Procore Project Management experience
Location: Tyndall AFB, FLHourly Rate: $20.00/HR- $23.00/HR
