BBP is hiring an Inside Sales Intern that will support the sales team in generating quotes, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer service. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales processes, customer relationship management, and product knowledge. The intern will assist in various tasks while learning the core functions of an inside sales role, contributing to the overall customer experience and satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing a general understanding of the company's products or services to provide accurate information to customers.
- Support the Inside Sales team by responding to customer inquiries and assisting with basic questions or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact information and customer notes.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to gain product knowledge and understand sales processes.
- Assist in creating price quotes for products or services based on customer specifications and pricing guidelines.
- Help process customer orders accurately, ensuring completeness of all order details.
- Monitor and track order status and assist in providing customers with updates and delivery estimates.
- Support in resolving order discrepancies, shipping issues, and other customer concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, accounting, operations, and marketing, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support the sales team.
Education and/or Experience:
- Currently pursuing an Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Interest in technical sales, customer service, or related areas.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and processes.
