Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Ensure all food items are stored properly according to food safety regulations.
• Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of any shortages.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support catering events by preparing food items as directed by the culinary team.
• Participate in cleaning tasks at the end of shifts to maintain hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed within the kitchen setting.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds as required.
