Responsibilities include :
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform regular preventive & predictive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Maintains, inspects, operates, and repairs compressed air systems.
- Performs welding, fabrication, and pipe fitting as needed
- Possesses mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Maintains and repairs mixing equipment including, but not limited to, mixing vessels, transfer pumps and associated piping systems.
- Responsible for the completion of all repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Perform repairs and maintenance of facilities.
- Troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of electrical A / C and D / C circuits and PLC’s.
- Strong computer skills in Word and Excel.
- Good written communication skills to ensure documents are filled out properly.
- Able to troubleshoot or work from blueprints, drawings, or schematics.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and requirements.
- Actively involved in continuous plant safety improvements including preventive tasks and identified corrective actions.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Completes projects on time and within budget.
- Set priorities and direction of the maintenance personnel when called upon.
- Establish a plan for preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure the maintenance team is following PM schedules.
- Contribute strongly to continuous plant safety improvements including preventive tasks and identified corrective actions.
- Provide feedback to the manager on the performance of the maintenance team.
- Direct maintenance team members to observe and follow all safety procedures and policies.
- Maintain an adequate spare and working parts inventory.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Inform management of any issues that could affect production.
- Strong experience in maintenance management, preferably CMMS and inventory control systems.
- Working knowledge of programming and troubleshooting PLC’s
- Ability to schedule and coordinate the maintenance team work schedule
