Job Title: Swing Shift Grinder Laborer
Pay: $18.00 with $3.50 shift differential (differential will start once training is complete)
Shift: 4:00 pm to 1:00 am. Monday - Friday. OT is available once fully trained.
- Will need to train on the days shift for 2-3 weeks before starting swing schedule will be Monday-Friday on the AM shift
Job Summary: Will be grinding and sanding to clean the sharp edges of sheets of metal and other metal parts. Must be responsible to safely operate a grinder and sander as well as other hand and power tools. This position requires heavy lifting, full mobility as well as focus on the work. Must be ok with cleaning, sweeping shop or whatever they need. Required to wear all safety equipment provided.
Responsibilities:
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
- Perform precision smoothing, polishing, or grinding of stainless steel objects
- Set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment
- Deburr, buff or polish materials to specifications
- Use grinding tools to cut many types of materials in order to create products
- Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
Qualifications:
- Lifting 50lbs plus over head
- Know how to use hand and power tools
- Standing for entire shift
- Team Player
