BBSI has partnered with an amazing organization in search of a Bilingual English/Spanish Sr Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Manager.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 per annum ( bonus)
MF 9am - 6pm (some evenings or late-night work for training or onboarding may be required.)
Relocation reimbursement
Summary/Objective:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all human resource services including employee relations, compliance, onboarding new employees, record maintenance, employee benefits, payroll, training and recruiting/ hiring. The HR manager will work closely with other department managers regarding safety, workers’ compensation, retention, employee engagement and other employee initiative.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, including new hire, safety and anti-harassment training.
- Provides leadership support to site management in areas of coaching to create and maintain a work environment with high engagement and productivity, drives hiring at the site to achieve business goals, leads the implementation of HR policies.
- Coach leaders/managers on difficult situations, employee relations, mediations, discussions and performance management, ensuring to follow up with managers to get copies of any documentation for the personnel file.
- Partner with management team to develop and maintain HR practices that foster a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
- Ensure that employee relations practices promote a positive workplace culture while maintaining full compliance with company policies and employment laws
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees, managers and owner while adhering to company standards and CA labor laws.
- Working with Managers, manage FMLA, CFRA, LOA, Workers’ Comp claims, etc.
- Keeps all personnel files organized and up to date, regularly audits I-9s,

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises one other person, acts as a mentor to many others.
Physical Demands
This position requires the employee to stand and/ or walk for long periods of time. He or she may also bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, life, push or pull throughout their work day. This position will be required to life up to 25 pounds from time to time. He or she must also be able to hear, see, smell, have good depth perception and have good hand eye coordination.
Required Education and Experience
- This position requires a high school diploma, some college preferred.
- Must have 5 years as an HR Manager working in a medium to large organization
- HRCI or SHRM Certification is highly desirable
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a must
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or similar
- 10 years in HR with increasing levels of responsibility and at least 5 years as an HR manager
- 3 years managing people

- Strong knowledge of human resources practices, employment laws, and regulations as it pertains to CA employment Law.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
