Job Overview :
The Maintenance Engineer will ensure the smooth operation of all production equipment in an industrial bakery. The position involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery to maintain efficient production. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime and adherence to safety protocols. The Maintenance Engineer will also work with the maintenance team on shift schedules to maintain round the clock smooth operational capacity seven days a week.
Key Responsibilities :
- Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on bakery machinery such as ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures in a timely manner to reduce production delays.
- Safety & Compliance : Ensure that all maintenance work follows safety standards, food safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, CAL / OSHA).
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of repairs, preventive maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts.
- Collaboration : Work with production staff to ensure equipment is functioning optimally and collaborate on improving machine performance.
- Special Projects : Assist in machine upgrades, modifications, and installations as required.
