Client Operations - Client Onboarding Analyst
Accountabilities & Areas of responsibility
- Support the business with the processing of all client requests, including but not limited to new accounts opening, account closure, maintenance of customer accounts, periodic and event driven account reviews, account change requests, etc. and process requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure appropriate initial and ongoing screening based on the customer’s KYC profile, including name list screening, adverse media searches, and initial disposition of results.
- Complete timely, accurate, and consistent KYC reviews, communicate documentation deficiencies, and follow up on aged onboarding requests.
- Accurately escalate accounts for additional approval in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain and complete actions necessary to ensure appropriate customer AML Risk classification.
- Communicate and escalate red flags detected during the client onboarding process or during the course of the relationship to manager/lead.
- Demonstrate a strong awareness of the Registered Investment Advisory's (RIA’s) compliance program and effectively utilize its tools.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law or related.
- 0-2 years of experience in client onboarding, compliance, KYC/AML, or related functions in financial services.
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people across different functions and levels of seniority.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Bilingual English-Spanish.
