About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Finance and Operations Director with a robust background in nonprofit accounting. This pivotal role involves overseeing essential accounting functions and collaborating closely with the Executive Director on financial matters.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
- Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results to inform operational strategies.
- Providing direct oversight of accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Leading financial audits and developing comprehensive financial reports for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
- Identifying risks, including potential fraud, and implementing necessary compliance measures.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, with preference given to those who have worked within a nonprofit organization.
- In-depth knowledge of IRS Form 990 and GAAP principles.
- A CPA certification is highly valued.
- A solid understanding of accounting functions, with the ability to recommend procedural improvements.
- Experience in preparing and complying with financial reports for various funding sources.
