About The Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Statutory Accounting to join their Fund Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of a managed services platform, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of statutory accounting book value and book yield for insurance mandates. This role requires acting as a resident expert in statutory accounting, providing guidance to the management team and insurance clients, and working closely with internal teams to maintain accurate security master files. The VP will also be involved in monthly reconciliations, reviewing management fee calculations, and building out reporting services for insurance clients. Candidates for the Vice President of Statutory Accounting position should have 6-10 years' of relevant experience in a statutory accounting role, with a preference for those holding an accounting degree and a CPA. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a focus on providing timely and accurate data. The VP will be expected to report management fee revenues, AUM, and other key metrics for quarterly firm reporting, as well as participate in ad hoc reporting and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting, be adept at working with legal, product specialists, and investor relations, and have a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
