Position Overview: The Pre-Processing Team Lead handles all aspects of the Pre-Processing team and some of the operational claim’s processes. The Pre-Processing team is responsible for provider and patient matching, pricing, provider maintenance and data entry of claims. The Lead will monitor team queues to manage backlog and TAT adherence, reviewing overdue reports, and resolving issues associated with overdue claims. Delegates responsibilities as deemed necessary. Responsible for updating team processes and procedures and disseminating the information to the team. Works under minimal direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Reports to the Manager of Pre-Processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and guidance to members of the team regarding daily workload, long-term goals and quality metrics.
- Manages team backlogs
- Looks for and implements ways to improve process efficiency.
- Communicates clearly with policyholders, providers and internal employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work as a member of a team and with other departments
- High school education or equivalent
- Education and experience may be substitute for one another
- A minimum of 2 years office/clerical experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of professional customer service practices.
- Skill in strong interpersonal and written communication.
