Joining our dynamic team, BC Steel Buildings, is currently seeking dedicated, safety-oriented Welders to contribute to our ongoing success. As a vital part of our workforce, you will be involved in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG & Submerged Arc (SAW) weld and use grinders, and plasma torches. Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:
· Scrapers, 7” grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools used
· Safely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building components
· Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area
· Must always have a high awareness for safety
· Any other duties assigned
· Work in compliance with safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear.
· Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals.
· Must follow welding procedures
· Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate tools and materials.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
· Familiar/fluent in MIG & Sub-Arc (SAW) processes
· Previous experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plus
· Welding certifications beneficial but not required
· Ability to read a tape measure
Requirements
· Ability to lift 75lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
· Must wear proper safety equipment
· Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)
· Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential within our manufacturing plant to
ensure compliance with safety protocols and accurately interpret job orders.
Salary Description
$16.00hr Day Shift /18.50/hr Night Shift
Compensation may be adjusted with extensive experience, and a thorough evaluation will be conducted during the interview process.
