Maintenance Technician - Weekend Day Shift

BC Wood Products is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate would be passionate about and experienced in maintaining a variety of equipment and assets used in the manufacture of wooden pallets. The candidate should be able to read and understand schematics, using them for troubleshooting, repairing, and assembling both mechanical and electrical components.
Pay Range: $32 - $36 per hour [ $1.50/hour 3rd shift differential]
Shift: Friday through Monday (Friday - 7:00 am to 4:30 pm; Saturday - 7:00 am to 6:00 pm; Sunday - 7:00 am to 6:00 pm; Monday - 7:00 am to 4:30 pm)

Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical repair of all machinery and production equipment safely without posing a danger to self or others
- Follow verbal and posted safety rules at all time, including wearing the proper PPE for each task
- Follow scheduled preventative maintenance procedures
- Install new/used operational equipment as needed
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment and facilities as required
- Monitor the implement OSHA safety regulations and standards, ensuring a safe, neat, and clean workspace
- Help maintain upkeep of shop/office as needed
- Able to use software to manage requests for maintenance
- Constant (5-10 hrs/day): Walking, Kneeling, Standing, Bending, Stooping, Talking, Hearing, Reaching
- Frequent (2-6 hrs/day): Lifting & Moving, Carrying, Pushing or Pulling Objects
- Lifts 50 lbs or more repeatedly throughout workdays
- At least 3 years of Electrical or Mechanical background for troubleshooting and fixing machinery
- Valid driver’s license
- Maintenance Management Software knowledge
- Able to read and interpret instructions for ordering parts as needed
- Able to drill down to the root cause of an issue and solve the problem with little guidance
- 8 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
- 3 years of welding experience
- 3 years of industrial electric experience
Combination of relevant education and/or work experience (3 years)
- The majority of this work is performed inside, but outside work will occasionally be required
