The Information Technology Administrator is a pivotal role that goes far beyond traditional back-end support. Reporting directly to the Business Technology Manager, this position encompasses responsibilities such as implementing and maintaining both third-party and proprietary software and hardware systems. However, the primary objective is ensuring seamless office operations.
Key duties include troubleshooting and resolving issues related to employee workstations, phones, and the internal network. Additionally, this role requires handling a range of moderately complex tasks, such as:
- Implementing and maintaining laptops, desktops, and computer peripherals
- Managing active directory domain controllers, servers (application, file, etc.), and phone systems
- Administering software solutions like Office 365, Windows OS, Mac OS, and email/phone systems
Experience with web-hosting environments and/or Azure configuration is highly desirable. This role is essential to maintaining an efficient and technology-driven workplace.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the use, installation, and maintenance of workstation and domain computers, printers, and other hardware.
- Set up and configure desktops, laptops, Mac hardware, and peripherals to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Install and configure software and employee accounts according to departmental needs.
- Manage employee accounts, including Active Directory, VPN, Office 365, email, phone systems, and support desk tools.
- Handle password and security credential assignment, maintenance, and secure storage.
- Conduct inventory management and asset tracking for IT equipment.
- Document current and future business processes for reference and improvement.
- Develop scripts to automate internal workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain computer and phone equipment promptly.
- Stay updated on modern technologies, techniques, and methodologies relevant to the role.
- Provide insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and best practices to help the team work smarter and more efficiently.
- Monitor internal network performance and propose solutions to improve reliability and speed.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience: 2 years in Information Technology Administration.
- Education: A degree in Computer Information Technology or a related field is preferred, but relevant IT certifications are also acceptable.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Networking Knowledge: Hands-on experience with networking infrastructure and configuration.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly switch contexts between different platforms and infrastructures.
